Emma Bugg, Artist and Jeweller

Emma Bugg embeds NFC tags, QR codes, and AI chatbots into wearable metalwork — jewellery that functions less as ornament than as time capsule. Her NugBot, a finalist in the 2024 Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize, is an AI-chatbot you can wear. Work is held at MONA and available through State of Flux Workshop, the artist-run studio she co-founded in Hobart in 2020.
